Hello, I just joined debate and I am a freshman in high school. We just chose what type of debate we are doing, whether it being, Public Forum, Policy, or Lincoln Douglass. I chose policy, but I am now having second thoughts. I like how in policy there is once topic and that you know exactly what you need to do to win your argument, but I don't have a partner for it because my original partner joined LD. My other friend however is in Public Forum, I don't know if I should switch to public forum and be her partner or not. I don't really like public forum because there are too many people in it already, and you don't really know what you have to do to win. On the other hand, I am not sure if i should join Lincoln Douglass, I like that there are no partners involved and you don't have to depend on anyone, but I don't care for the teacher, and I don't think I am smart enough for it, being that it is about philosophy. If you can help me make a decision it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
