PSP memory chip/card/whatever help?

I'm thinking of getting the Madden NFL 09 PSP pack and it includes a 1GB chip/card/whatever, but I want to get another chip/card/whatever that has 8GB. What should I do with the 1GB chip/card/whatever? I still want to use the 8GB one.
