PS3 Pre-orders?

Just called game stop and toys "r" us both place said they will not be accepting pre orders WTF. Does anybody know where we can pre order from?? and when??

With a 600 dollar price tag, you wont have to worry abouot me preordering it. But its the same with the PS2 release, i called around back then and they werent accepting them either.

I've been told by all the retailers in my area that pre-orders won't start to be taken until the beginnig to middle of August.
