PS3 or XBOX 360? DETAILED ANSWER!!!!?

Is it better to get the PS3 METAL GEAR SOLID 4, or 360 elite. ???

I know that Xbox 360 has

- Xbox live
-downloadble content

but the PS3 has

- faster gameplay because the games are on the hardrive
- and slighty Higher limits ( Example ... when Oblivion came out it looked 1000000% times better on PS3, and the fan was slow, but on 360 it was loud, and the graphics are worse.

so if you have both please tell me which ones better and why?
 
X box is bettr but breaks down without a fan but is just a million times better with online and games.
 
well i chose the xbox because there are more games for it and of course halo 3/call of duty 4/ and lots of other good games that you cant get for ps3.and xbox live.
