PS3 not displaying through HDMI cable?

I always had a HDMI cable hooked up from my ps3 to my tv and it worked perfectly. However, yesterday, i unhooked the cord to hook my laptop to my tv (it worked) and today morning i plugged it back to my ps3. All i get is a black screen. I reset the ps3 like twice and still the same. Then i held down the on button when it was red and reset the display settings. From there, i hooked it up through the av cable it came with and it worked. i tried setting it back to hdmi, but still getting the same black screen. I know it connects with the ps3 because it doesn't come up saying no signal, for some reason its just a black screen. Anyone know what to do?? Thanks
