ps3 gta 4 save game issues?

I borrowed a GTA 4 from a store. After 40 hours of playing, i bought the game myself. When I started the game in the ps3, i had to install it all over! wtf?!? i lost my save games! and I can’t use the stores’s GTA 4, cause they wants it back. this is some f***ing bullshit and it’s making my f***ing pissed off!
