I just got an update from the Playstation. I downloaded it. Now the PlayStation 3 freezes once i turn it on? Any one else having this problem?

did you encounter any problems when updating? did you switch it off while updating?,contact SONY customer service for help
.............and the guy who told you to get a 360(ninja) i think he should watch out for the RRoD on his 360 which is very common instead of this one-shot problem of yours!

Did you not update is properly?
It says if you turn the console off, while it is updating, it may cause your system to not be able turn back on.
