ps3 for $1,000

A good friend of mine bought four PS3s and offered to sell me one for $1,000. I never put any thought into getting one, but now maybe? What do you guys think?

well they are going for more than that on ebay. He was one of my best friends in highschool 7 years ago, and I moved from Houston to Iowa since then.

I'd wait until there are some good games out, and likely revised hardware, and go pay retail.
