PS3 flashing green and won't turn off... Help please?

I was on PS3 Home (I had only just turned it on) when it froze, but the background music was still playing. I left it for a while then decided to turn off/restart. The screen is off, but the PS3 is still flashing green and I can't turn it either off or on. Just before I turned it off it made a beeping sound 3 times. Is it broken?? I've only had it for a month :(
Shit! I just tried to flip the PS3 round so I could get to the switch and now the plug has fallen out and turned it off T_T
 
i have the same problem except i just tried turning it on with the controller and it wouldnt work. the controller light would just flash and keep flashing so i had to turn the ps3 on by hand and it worked but when i clicked my avatar and name. the screen just had the wavy background and it had the loading sign in the top right corner. i left it like that for 5 mins but after that it was still the same. and i turned it off but when i did the controller stayed on and the ps3 green light blinked and it kept doing that. so i had to unplug it but when i turned it on the same thing happend.. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!
