[PS3] Firmware 1.11 update is out.

Apparently it fixes some trouble with using HDMI for video and optical to an AV receiver. They have also added an account management icon under the Network tab. Not sure what else they added. I haven't updated yet

If anyone owns a PSP, you will know that updating firmware is not advisable if you're into homebrewing.

After every patch, Sony always makes it 10x harder for homebrew to run on it. Sony makes it almost impossible to downgrade. The homebrew communities arent updating their consoles.

If I want to listen to a game over the stereo then I simply turn on the receiver and mute the TV. If I don't want to hear it over the stereo I just turn the receiver off. As it is now, to listen to the game over my stereo I have to go in to the audio settings of the menu on the PS3 to choose optical. When I do that the TV sound no longer works.

It just seems dumb to me to have to dive in to the settings menu on the PS3 to listen to the sound on the stereo.

Sort of. My TV doesn't have HDMI so I am using component and the AV cables for sound. So I want sound to AV cables and Optical.
