PS2 problems, putting console back together?

I kept getting DRE on my PS2 so I decided to take it apart to clean the lens. I ended up taking the bottom off first then realised that I could take the top off + that the lens is there.
My PS2 was caked in dust so I gave it a good blow + wipe (where it looked safe to). I put everything back together how it came out but when I turned it back on, the disc tray wouldn't open when I pressed the button + the controllers won't work. I've checked out YouTube but I have no sound on my computer so I can't hear what's being said. Also I've obviously knocked something out of place but don't know what it could be, as only the disc tray + the controllers are affected. Also because they won't work, I don't know if I've fixed the DRE problem. PLEASE HELP

This is the 3rd time I've asked for help but no one appears to have read the question properly. Please, anyone that knows what to do, help me!! Thank you.

Something you may want to try is getting someone with a working ps2 to either send you a picture of it witht he plates off so you can compare it or if you know them bring it to you so you can compare in person. If you find something to be broken or missing send the ps2 off and get that part repaired. If you go through the wires ect, and make sure all the solder if still connecting them to the main parts. Also make sure nothing has been bent out of place, and that nothing is blocking or holding back the dvd drive.

As i havnt used a ps2 in a few years i cant think of much else, sorry.
