*Pros and Cons* living at the dorms at Embry Riddle (Daytona) or renting at a complex?

I am starting school in the Daytona campus and I am transfering from Com Coll as a Junior to the Business program with a minor in air science.
I have heard that Daytona can be a dull place to live and the housing department told me that I would be considered a freshman for housing purposes so I might be stuck sharing a bath with 8 people.
I dont want to isolate myself either
are the meal plans worth paying for??
