I loled hard when I saw this. Funi sure knows how to make a good promo

FUNi has started to seriously be tounge-in-cheek with their advertishing like ADV used to be. Which really isn't a bad thing at all.

(Hey, if the show doesn't feature pants and you've already licensed it, might as well go the full mile and exploit the hell out of it in advertising)

The announcer's voice needed to be more "old timey" to give it that vintage feel. Still, that was a fun trailer. I don't know if it's sold me on the show or anything, but it was at least amusing.

I remeraber the morning I was excitedly reading the cast list for the Strike Witches dub (Kira Vincent Davis FTW!) and then when I first saw that trailer, and I thought, "Is FUNimation pulling an ADV!?", but I laughed through out the whole thing, and the trailer made me like the show even more despite the fact that I was already a fan of the series.

Moral of the story - FUNimation really does how to sell shows

This is even better than the "everything you never wanted in a hero" line they're marketing Linebarrels of Iron with, and for an even worse anime. FUNimation may get bad shows, but they sure know how to have fun with them.

OK, now even I Have to admit that was funny. still think the show is awful, but that trailer was great, I love Funi's traliers, there always fun to watch.

I know this is off topic, but uh...do they have one for Linebarrels or FLCL yet?

Huh. I actually hadn't seen the Linebarrels one until you mentioned it.

God, FUNi puts out great dubs. Koichi's voice is absolutely perfect. Annoying, whiny and sounding like a total jerk!

Looks like Josh Grelle got to dub over Tetsuya Kakihara as the lead in a recent mecha anime after all. It's too bad for him that it's on the completely opposite end of the spectrum from the one he was originally cast in.

Another Great Trailer! Man, If Funi should try to get its trailers played at movie theatres...those would be alot more enjoyable then those coke commercials, lol. But yea, can't wait to rent Lionbarrels, seems like a fun show, a whiny kid in a mech......now where have I seen that before.

Bad show, good trailer. It's at least good that they don't get pretentious and try to pitch a show as being more serious than it is.

Well, it's a much better pitch than they made with Moonphase (which is probably the closest to loli land FUNi's gotten to in the past,) and while I doubt they'll pull in much in the way of new viewers, they'll at least get props from people for keeping things light.

I wouldn't call this doing what ADV did. ADV leaned more in the direction of 'Look how tasteless this is...but you like that, because you watch anime'. This seemed more 'Look how tasteless this is...might as well get some amusement out of it, eh?'.

Oh and 'You Should Be Watching Funimation.com'? Remove the region block and I will
