Prolothrapy???

I have had prolotherapy on both lurabar and cervical spine. For me it did miracles for my neck and shoulder but it really didn't help my lurabar problems at all. I found that epidurals worked best for me.I wish the proltherapy would have worked on my back because it doesn't use steroiRAB. SteroiRAB help but long trm use is not so good.
Good Luck with your procedure! Are you having concious sedation too? I recommend doing C.S because I found the treatment to be painful and I have a low tolerance to pain these days. Hope everything goes well!:)

I have been having prolotherapy for about 6 months now. I have had 5 sessions and I am scheduled for another in 2 weeks. I believe it has helped my lower back. I have spondy, DDD, and facet problems. The injections are usually not too painful. I don't take any medication while they are being given. The pain usually sets in after about 2 days and that is from inflammation. I use a lot of ice, some muscle relaxers and tylenol. I have tramadol but I hate taking it. I still have pain in lower back and I was told my facet joints are giving me pain problems also. I get sciatica and I seem to think that well never leave. I do a lot of stretching also. My back pain began 1-1/2 years ago just from bending over. Ever since then, I have been miserable. I use to go to the gym and lift weights, etc. 3 times a week. Now I have be so very careful in the exercise I do. Sometimes, I can't go to the gym at all. I ride my inside bike for some exercise and that helps. Since my backpain I have now developed a stomach swelling problem. I think it is from pain but my Dr. thinks it is a digestive problem. I'll have to see another Dr. for that. My problems are in my L5-S1 and lower back. I also have a 2mm buldge in my T-12. Having chronic pain has made me aware of how lucky a person is to have good health. Now I just try to make each day the best I can. If you have any questions regarding prolo please ask. Good Luck
