...alternative to Perl or Python? I'm the language because I want to be able to use Ruby on Rails MVC framework because it would supplement my knowledge of PHP and some PHP frameworks such as Code Igniter.
I'm really excited about Ruby. I love the different yet very effective and short and sweet syntax.

What else can you tell me about Ruby that you think I should know?
