I have a 2002 Ford F-150 with a 5.4 L V-8 and it has a miss in the engine, it is not noticeable at high speeds but when I am stopped at a red light with the automatic transmission in Drive and the brake applied there is a very distinct stumble and miss to the motor which seems to be just one cylinder, I tried using a bottle of STP complete fuel system treatment and filled my tank with Shell V-Power gasoline but this did not help.
I checked the air filter and it is very clean. I took it to a mechanic and no error codes are coming up.

sounds like you may have one or more bad plugs or plug wires
Looking at the wires you can see a whitish spot on the insulation this called a cross fire and the wire is shorting accross
I recommend a change of plugs and plug wires before you pay for an expensive mechanic

First check and replace the fuel filter, A clogged filter will restrict the flow.
Could be a ignition module, This sets timing spark advance so on.
May need tune-up.
Buy a bottle of chevron fuel system cleaner 20 oz. Two bottles, and water remover, 1st add the water remover, use twice one fill the one to refill. This also creates stumbling "WATER" and then use the chevron on your third tank forward.
