I tried to download this program from FreewarePalm.com and I get a message that my security settings wont allow me to download this file. I get the same message when I went to his website and tried to download the program. I even tried to download it with Netscape instead of IE. In Netscape I click on the .prc file to download and it opens up as gibberish, and I think Japanese gibberish at that, rather than downloading as normal.

Can someone tell me what security setting prevents that, or is it doing its job and blocking a valid problem? If not could someone please email me the program if you can download it safely.

I am wondering if this is the same problem that often prevents me from downloading PalmOne updated programs. Any help would be appreciated.
Richard, (please send me a private message with the file, or attach the file to your response here at the forum

the download address is: http://www.freewarepalm.com/utilities/profeosystemalarms.shtml

Try under Internet Explorer:

1) Tools -> Internet Options
2) Select the "Security Tab" and click "Default Level".
3) Make sure the it does not default to "High" or else you may have trouble downloading files.

Also you can try to "Right Click" the mouse on the download link directly and select "Save Target As...".
Good Luck,

Tried that, it made no difference. I did get the pgm from fnagle in the reply above, but that is the only way. Thanks, unless it is my popup stopper, but I deactivated that and tried, still no difference. This one even didn?t download with Netscape i/o IE.

Thanks for the file and the info. Still have the problem, but the file caused a reset on my T3 anyway. Maybe the program .prc is defective (or in Japanese) as it appears to be. Whatever... it was worth the try, and maybe we learned something from the experience.
