Have had a mechanic mess around with it and he has checked all spark plugs,rotor and cap and they all are fine. The mechanic(Chevrolet)has hooked it up to the diagnostic machine and it read misfire on cylinder 1, misfire on cylinder 6(sometimes) but it will clear itself up and doesn't read any codes, but the truck still has problems. Mechanic is as confused as I am. changed the MAP sensor, Crank sensor, Cam sensor, TPS sensor. still having problems like...
1.)Truck has an unusual idle at times an example is the truck will be at 2,000 RPM and the idle will jump up to 2,500 RPMs without the engine accelerating. It will also fall to 1,500 RPMs and the motor has no reaction. Needle reacts but engine does not rev.
2.) Check Engine Light began flashing when overdrive was off and engine was at 2,000 RPM doing 50 MPH.
3.)Truck will begin to jerk as though it is choking, but there is no black smoke out of exhaust.
4.) run the truck cold and it runs fine, but when the truck is running warm these problems occur.
would it be wise to take it to a dodge mechanic or is it just false hope? or is there anyone with experience who could point me in the direction I should go?
