Hi, I had bought a laptop recently that plays movies from my computer to the television easily with the hdmi wire. The only problem is it plays the movies while the computer is on a duplicate screen, meaning playing the laptop and the television at the same time. I only want the television to play, so I would click the f2 button on the top left hand corner which reads projector only when you change the settings. However, right when I do that, the laptop screen goes black and the television says "invalid format." I have tried countless times to fix this, changing the screens resolution size, restarting my computer, does anyone know what the problem could be? And I have a dell inspirion computer, dunno if that matters.
