When the "check engine" light comes on, it also stores an error code in the car's computer memory.
The mechanic can use this code to diagnose the problem.

we have a dodge durango, suddenly shuts down and takes a few minutes for it to start again, we got it scanned and it shows no codes, either how, we were told that the crank sensor could be the problem (replaced), but the problem stills, we already checked all the fuses and everything seems ok, the cruise control is not working since this problem started, the light comes on but is not working, people says the fuel filter or pump could be the cause, but pump is working and apparently there's no fuel filter in this model, please we need a good advise, thanks for your help..........i almost forgot, the security and check engine lights comes on too and stays for a little, plus the "no bus" phrase on the millage reader, sometimes the fuel simbol comes on too..... help!!!!!!
