Problems with 2008 Chrysler Town and Country Navigation?

We have had our T&C for about a year and up to about a week ago, the navigation system worked fine. Now, I can't get it to work at all. Whenever I try to turn on the navigation system, I get this message "Navigation is being is being activated..." that will not go away. Is there a way to reset the system? Any other ideas on how I could fix this without taking it back into the dealership? Thanks!
 
Your radio or navigation disc needs to be updated. Take it to the dealership, it can be done while you wait.
