Problem with the Dark Knight

When hes reconstructing that shattered bullet, how would he get a fingerprint off of it? The bullet is only the front tip of the round, the fingerprint should be on the shell casing, yes?

Yea, but at most you'd get a partial. Who puts their thumb on the front of the bullet when theyre putting the round in the mag? Its much more normal to have your thumb dead center on the shell casing.

its a cool idea, but i would think the brick would have rubbed off/distorted any finger oil that was still on the bullet when it hit the wall.

yea, this was one of only a few scenes in the movie that struck me as pretty unrealistic (along with the Batpod riding up the wall and flipping around). Not a bad ratio really, for a comic book movie.
