I recently purchased 3 bags of Scotts Garden Soil from Big Lots. One bag out of the 3 actually had the right consistency and texture; almost like potting soil. The two other bags unfortunately did not have that texture. They were hard and compacted and did not resemble what they should be at all.
What is the best way to fix these two bags of soil? Just keep working it until its useful? Add water? Add Perilite? I took some soil out and put in a container to test it, and it has dried out completely into large, hard balls of soil that I can do absolutely nothing with : ( : ( : (
