Problem with my sony projection tv?

i have a 52in sony projection tv.,,, well there are lines going through the picture kind of like a bad connection but i cant find a bad connection or busted capacitor or anything of the like also if i switch it to picture by picture which ever i have set as the main video output has lines but the other screen is crystal clear i tired switching the main video setting but i cant get it to change any kind of help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
