Problem with my iMac CD/DVD Rom Drive?

I've never had issues before now but I burn a lot of DVDs using my iMac and every time before this one it has worked wonderfully but now when I try to put a blank DVD in the drive it spins it around (loudly may I add) then spits it back out and says insert a recordable DVD, I am using DYNEX (Best Buy Brand) DVD+R disks but I have never had a problem with using them. I know its not a space problem on the disks because my Toast 8 would tell me if there wasn't enough room, and the drive still reads my other CD's like my games and what not....anybody know what the problem is?
If it helps I bought the computer in April of 2007 or around that time so it isn't that old, its a 17" iMac and here is the drive information:
