so i have an 06 jeep liberty. every time i drive, i get a light on my dash saying "ESP/BAS". i looked in the booklet, and it said that if these two lights come on together then something could be wrong with the engine or something? i dont have the book in front of me so i dont know the exact words. anyone have this problem or know how to better explain this problem to me? also, what does the dealer do to fix it when you bring it in?

ESP = Electronic Stability Program / BAS = Brake Assist System. You probably have a sensor problem in the anti-lock braking system. Your normal braking system is probably okay, but I would take it in to be checked soon. Good luck

The "ESP/BAS" is the Electronic Stability Program / Brake Assist.
Could be that some dirt or moisture is affecting the sensors which are located at each wheel. This happened on my Jeep Compass. The service guys will probably check and clean or replace the problematic sensor(s). Mine was covered under warranty.
Hope this helps!
