I have a 99 Ford Taurus and yesterday i noticed my blinker did something weird. The blinkers and everything work fine, until I step on the brakes. When I am using the left turn signal and hit the brakes to slow down the left turn signal stays on and doesn't blink anymore. As soon as I take my foot off of the brake the turn signal works like normal again. The right turn signal works fine with my foot on the brake. It's only the left side. But I was trying out some stuff today and I put my hazard lights on then put weight on the brake pedal and none of the turn signals worked, they all just stayed on without blinking. This is a weird problem and I am very confused. I have been looking around trying to find solutions, but the problem seems to be unique. I am going to try replacing the bulbs and check the flasher, otherwise my other thought is that it might be the multifunctional switch which I have read had some problems. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
