problem with facebook chat?

no matter which computer i am on or which browser i'm using (internet explorer or firefox) facebook chat doesnt work.
it tells me that im ONLINE but it says i have 0 friends online and it wont show that im online to other people. i have tried to go offline then back online but that didnt work.
i know friends are online at the time because i can talk to them on their walls or other things, just not on facebook chat. and when i pop it out, it still doesnt let me talk to people.

soooo frustrating.

ok, if the problem isn't that of the computer you go on, it has to be your account. I am 100 % sure of this! What you need to do is either ask the facebook help team or just simply create a new account. Thank You, i hope i helped much.
