When I drive my wifes '53 Zafira uphill, and it loses momentum, I drop it down a gear, but occasionally, when droppoing from 4th to 3rd, the dashboard lights momentarily come on for about 1 second, and seem to lose function of the car, then it seems to kick in again when the accelarator is pressed.
