Problem with activating Facebook Mobile texts; Confusing directions?

I want to activate Facebook mobile texts, it tells me this when I want to activate my phone: "Using your mobile phone, send a text message with the letter to "f" to 32665 (FBOOK)." What does this mean? I texted the letter "F" to the number and it did not work. I have Verizon, which supports Facebook mobile.
