I have an unlocked Nokia 6301 (originally a Fido phone). Before, when someone would leave me a voicemail, I would get an SMS notification and the voicemail icon would appear on the top left hand corner.
For the last 2 months or so, when someone leaves me a voicemail I do not get the SMS notification... instead the phone resets itself and is very sluggish for a minute or so, until I guess it loads all the contacts from the SIM. The voicemail is still there if I check it, but there is no indicator.
I tried restoring the phone to factory settings, having Rogers reset my Voicemail, transferred to a brand new SIM (I was using an old one from 2006). None of these solved the problem. Anybody had a similar issue, know how to solve this? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
