problem getting on the internet through my phone

Please provide all the settings you are using on your Palm, including ISP and phone number. Also include the price plan of your phone and country. (For example if you're using an Orange phone on Pay as you go in the UK, it won't work which is why you'll get the error.)

Anyway if you give full details, we'll do our best to help :)

my pricing plan is i think i pay 6 or 7 dollars a month for unlimited use.

i dont know a phone number, thats what i need.

is there anything else you need?

also do i need to be connected on my phone inorder to use my service on my t3?

Ooo so you're using GPRS. I must admit I have never used GPRS. I don't belive you need the phone "connected" to a number to use GPRS, but the phone must have GPRS enabled. And you must be using a phone payment method that accepts it.

When I asked about pricing plan, I meant on the phone, not your ISP. Do you pay a monthly contract or is it pay as you go?

Just found this...Maybe this could help. You might need to put these settings in your phone for a GPRS connection....
Just do a Google search for Cingular GPRS and look at some of the results. They should help. Let me know how it goes!

If you have the internet connection set up on your desktop computer, you can try using the same settings as your desktop.

I don't use the same provider as you. However, I was able to use the desktop's dialup settings to connect. You need the following settings:

1. Login ID (Usually the first part of your email address before the @)
2. password
3. DNS Server 1
4. DNS Server 2
5. Proxy Server and port (Usually port 80 or 8080 is used)
6. Dialup number (Use the same number your desktop dials to connect. This should be your ISP's phone number for 56k modems.)

You should be able to get the above information from your desktop computer or from your ISP's web site in the support section.

Good Luck!

Hi,

On T3, go to Preferences, Network, fill
with the information from your mobile provider.
note:
the Phone nr. must be the string given by the mobile provider.
Ask them for help. It was ok with me.
