I own a 1980 Toyota pickup, 5-speed, 2wd. While driving on the freeway today I noticed that my "charge" light was on. This was odd because I had replaced a bad alternator 500 miles ago. So, the light came on, then my oil light came on, I pulled off the feeway and the truck lost power. I am able to start the truck, but the engine will cut out if i don't keep rpm's above 2000. It goes into gear, drives (short trips around the block while doctoring the gas pedal (above 2000 rpm) Any advice would be appreciated.
