problem connecting to internet with my home pc while my son is playing his xbox 360?

as soon as my son starts playing his xbox ( xbox live) we can't do anything on our PC. YET we can still work with our laptop which is connected via a wireless router. This is a real pain as he sneaks on and starts playing and we get hung up.

is there a microfilter connected in the pc and x box brroadband line? cheak

check to make sure the XBOX and the PC are not using the same ip address
