Hi,
My first post here. Looks full of useful info!
Let me set the scene for my issue, hopefully somebody can help.
I have been taking Multibionta which is a 'one-a-day' probiotic/multivitamin tablet as I have always had flatulence and a poor diet - although I have rectified this diet more recently) for 2 or 3 months. To be fair, it has helped with the flatulence.
However, just recently (last month or so) I have been experiencing some fairly regular heartburn/acid reflux. I can get rid of it fairly easily temporarily (Milk/Rennie/Mint Tea etc....) But I have stopped taking my probiotic pill for 2 or 3 days and today I havent had any heartburn.
I appreciate my diet can affect the heartburn or a may have a stomach ulcer but....
Does anyone know if Probiotics can cause excess stomach acid or are linked to heartburn at all? Could it be this pill causing/not helping my regular daily Heartburn?
Any thoughts appreciated.
