I was wondering if anyone could help me find an answer to something.

There are probotic drinks, and there are probiotic tablets. The 1 or 2 months supply of the tablets cost you as much as what one weeks supply of yakult does... what is better? and can anyone tell me WHY?

Q2

Green or tea or white tea, and again why;)? i have been told white tea, but have a need to know why about things.

Thanks

Hi, Preme . . . I just began seeing a naturopathic physician in August. She had mentioned the probiotics and tea to me as well.

I asked her point blank about the probiotic drinks and yogurts such as Dan Active and Activia. She said that they are not as good as they claim. She suggested unsweetened probiotic yogurt with active cultures (I know . . . most people do not like the taste but you can add fruit or honey to it) or even the probiotic pills such as Phillips Colon Health. They are $14.99 for a 30 day supply, though I am not sure what the equivalent cost would be there or if they have the same or equivalent over the counter medication.

As for the teas, green and even occasionally red teas were recommended for the anti-oxidant values (Vitamins A, C and E). White tea is merely the same but in a baby tea leaf form which may actually be gentler on sensitive stomachs, but I think you need to drink more of it to get the same value.

I hope this has helped!

Lindaru :)
