Has anyone tried the Proactiv Solution I hear advertised on TV all of the time. Just wondering if it really works the way they say it does.

Most people here have. Check the last few pages of this forum and you'll see lots of conversations on it. For the most part, it's OK, maybe even worth a try. But it doesn't work for everyone. I've used it for a couple of years. I like how soft it makes my skin, but don't like how it bleaches my pillow cases. I also really like the sulfer mask they make.

Several people here have been talking about the asprin mask. I gave it a shot, and I have to say, I like it way better, both for the price and the effect. But there's no obligation to stay with proactive if you don't like it. So there's really no harm in trying it out.

My daughter started the 3 step proactiv system Saturday. I can already see a difference. She has a moderate amount of acne on her face and back. So far, so good. No redness or irritation yet.

FYI- We were at walmart and I saw a 3 step program similar to proactiv- I forget the name of it. It claimed to be just like proactiv. The price was 18.95.
It might be worth checking out. idk.

Proactiv has done wonders for my skin. I have used it for about a year and a half and it's very rare that I even get a pimple anymore. I only use the cleansing solution though. I wash my face first with a mild soap and then rub on the proactiv cleansing solution and let it sit on my face until it dries. Then rinse it off. If I don't let it sit on my face until it dries it doesn't really help my face much. This gives it a chance to really soak in.

Proactiv didn't really work a miracle on my skin. It worked ok, but I know it's really helped some people I know, so it couldn't hurt to try it. I've heard good things about some of the three step systems (I think Neutrogena and L'oreal, but I won't swear by that), and they're cheaper than Proactiv, so maybe you could try one of those.
