Private records and files

Hi all,

I have been looking for simple file/private records options over and above the basic included with a T5. Most seem to have fantastic encryptions etc but I want to just do following:

make individual word, excel files, etc in Docs to Go "private" or
passworded.
MAke individual jpg's "private"
Make media ablbums "private"( on the desktop at the same time)

So basically like "the Private" function but for medai and 3rd part y apps.

Anything out there?

I have heard Paul and others speak highly about Teal Lock on this forum. Personally, I haven't used this program before so I'm not aware of all the features.

Documents To Go supports the passworded documents.

As for the desktop security, the best solution is to not store documents on your desktop. You should disable the conduits which synchronizes your documents on the handheld with the desktop. Instead, you should install Card Export on your Palm and then manually copy and paste your documents from the SD card onto removeable media such as cdrw or USB Flash disk, etc. and then lock the removeable media in a safe.

You should make sure your desktop has the security features enabled.
 
Thanks for the reply! I looked into teallock and it does not do what I want -but looks a very secure solution for encryption etc.

i just want to hide a few files that a casual user of my palm or desktop may come across - ie i show photos on my palm and folks tend to click thru....

Also Docs to Go does not password individaul files - well not the version I have.!
