private car seller threatened to be sued for fraud?

Ok I sold this car 2 1/2 months ago. I never had any major problems with it. that's what I told the buyers. And I was being honest. I had bought the car 5 months previous from a used car dealer. I had to have the car worked on, because the 02 censor went out and a cosmetic flaw. But that was minor, and the dealer covered it because it was within a couple days I bought it. I don't remember the paperwork, I know that it never claimed anything of major work needed.
Now after I sold it to these people they're saying i was fraudulent, that they called the dealer and was told that it needed $1500 in work, and was un-driveable but I don't remember that at all. and I would've remembered that. plus i wouldn't have drove it. So I called the dealer the other day and asked about it and he said he doesn't recall anyone calling and that he doesn't give information over the phone to anyone except the owner(buyer). I'm worried that I may have unknowingly lied to them. the car is 2001 and has approx 120,000. I sold the car "as-is" with no warranty mentioned. I wish I would've been smart and saved the paperwork. UGH!!! I feel so stupid.
But what got me is they said it needed a water pump....but I drove it everyday for 5 months and never had a problem, it always ran well and never broke down on me. So I talked to a lawyer and he said due to the year and miles on the car it would be hard to have it stand up in court.
Can I get some input please. I never intended to screw anyone over.
I have a bill of sale. just stating once seller receives full amount of funds, seller will give the buyer a clean title and extra set of keys to the car.
I'm just worried that maybe signed the paperwork and they didn't tell me about the work needed. So just to protect them(the dealership) from any legal action on my part. I just can't remember that far back.
Well they wouldn't tell me who they talked to at the dealership or the dealerships name. The buyer just said the dealer said "an un-named person brought the car in" in May sometime. which was around when I bought it.
