ive also been chosen to take part in a hair modelling day where i get my hair done for free + a day of pampering followed by participating in a fashion show...the dilemna is there on the same day!!i reallly want to do this i dont know when this oppurtunity will arise again but i only found out today and have been preparing for this stupid debate for over a week now. i have been chosen for school prefect also and do not want to let down my teacher either.. the only way ive thought of not tottaly displeasing is purposely losing my voice!!..although there is always the chance that i will get cought spending the day in a hairdressers r at the fashion show then at school.
If you've been chosen as your school prefect with English like that I don't think your teachers hopes for academic achievement for the school are really going to be that high, and you're probably not letting her down that much.
Stupid idea maybe... but how about just asking your teacher what to do? You lose the possibility of cheating, but your teacher might be the only one who can help you find an honest solution to this dilemma.
just do the modeling thing. tell your teacher that you didn't really want to do the debate any way and that it is an oppurtunity of a lifetime. say how you are honored for being chosen and all but that you really want to do the other thing. and whatever you do, dont fake a lost voice! because if they figure out then it won't be that pretty i'm sure...
can you talk to your teacher and see if she/he can switch the day of the debate.. or tell your mom and see if your mom can convince her to switch the day of the debate by one day. Letting them know that both things are very important to you and you would like to attend both.
what is going to make the most points for you academically?
School is always priority over modeling unless that is your part time job this is just one day thing and you will most likely not have any fun at it and wished you were with your teacher and the class.
