Prince Philip does not look in the slightest like a swarthy Greek. What gives?

In fact, in his prime, he appeared to be a tall, fine-looking and quite fit Nordic type. Are we sure he's of Greek descent? Has anyone seen him imbibing ouzo whilst wearing red balloon pants and kicking up his Greek heels? Perhaps is just a rumour?
It seems unlikely Prince Edward sprung from Philip's loins.
