prevent songs from appearing in music player

hi,i have a nokia 6500 slide phone.i have many audio files on my memory card.i dont want all of them from appearing in the music player.is ther any way of preventing/hiding files from the music player.
Also the music player supports skins.i did not find any skin on the web that works.are there any skins available.
