Greetings -- Which is better? My doctor, put me on 30 mg. of Prevacid to take for an extended period. Gave me a prescription good for a year of refills. But bvthe insurance, Medicare D , mis disallowing it vafter vthe first 30 days. Says I should try Protonix, instead as well as some lesser drugs. I can buy the Prevacid over the counter in 15 mg. doses and double up, for even a lower price than the prescription was costing me and with all those coupons it uis even less. But I have heard that the OTC version of Prevacid may not be the same quality as the prescription version. What should I do?
Also find the discussion on LPR on this board very interesting. I seem to have those symptoms for a long time. Stomach problem is thought to be possible ulcxer due to cardiac aspirin useage. Helico bacter is ruled out via blood test.
Ent doctor yesterday also commented on the very bad post-nasal drip as he examines voice area for possible acid reflux issues -- but never mentioned "LPR"
