ooh Please add me I've always loved Them and PW was one of my favorite movies of all time.
 
I love it when he punches that guy across the face who tries to force himself on Vivian. What a great punch that was! :D
 
I don't know if I'd say they showed more chemistry than any other film couple,but I would definitely say that no film couple in my recollection has ever surpassed them! :)

So much of the story is unrealistic and the only aspect that truly makes it all come together and be believable is the chemistry between Richard and Julia.It's amazing!They just seem SO right together!

I also love how Richard plays Edward! He's a very confident,hardball playing corporate guy on the outside,but in the scenes with Julia,when the public attention is off of him,we see a very vulnerable,damaged man who needs love.I adore Richard's performance in this film!
 
I totally get what you mean. He played the character a little reserved, and yet he domineered the screen. :nod: He and Julia were magic together.
 
^I def. agree, Gwen. Their chemistry was great. And I loved how shy yet powerful Richard Gere was.
 
I think I'd go as far as to say that Julia and Richard showed more chemistry on screen than any other movie couple. I just totally fell in love with the couple
 
Yeh I knew it was unscripted - it was a natural reaction - thats why I loved it so much :)

The best thing about that scene is that it was totally unscripted! I watched the commentart on the anniversary DVD,and director Garry Marshall said that was something he and Richard cooked up to have some fun with Julia.Her start at the unexpected closing of the box followed by a hearty laugh was completely natural! :)

One of my favorite scenes is the one where they're sitting in the bathtub together.That could have been such a gratuitous,sexual scene but instead it was a very sweet,intimate scene. :love:

PW is one of my favourite movies ever :) and I love Edward/Vivian - the way their relationship progresses from beginning to end is just bliss - great acting and great movie making :D
One of my favourite scenes is when they are going to the opera and Viv comes out in that stunning red gown and Edward gives her that beautiful necklace and shuts the case unexpectantly - love both of their rxns :D so funny - it makes :lol: everytime
 
There are so many, but probably when she kisses him on the mouth for the first time (aww) :in_love: and when Edward takes the day off work to spend the day with Vivian and they ride horses and have a picnic together. I thought that was a nice montage of scenes ... and of course, the end scene when he climbs the ladder :)

some more things to the opener tomorrow.I'm glad to see that several

people ship this couple! I think they're a classic couple that almost anybody

could like regardless of how they generally ship! :love:

Richard Gere was so hot in this movie. I loved them in every scene.

I looked all over and was surprised to see that there was no thread for these two on this board.So,I took some initiative and started one myself! :)

I think that Pretty Woman is one of the most romantic films ever made and Edward/Vivian are one of my favorite movie ships! I could squee about them for days! :love: Anyone else ship them? :)
