pressure on top of head

Good day,

This is my first post, I'd like to say thanks in advance to anyone who replies.

A little background on my problem, about a week ago, I slept near an open window and had some cold air blow at me for at least a couple of hours. I woke up with the area to the left of nose swollen. The next day, slept with the AC on and woke up with my left nostril totally stuffed. Turned the AC off and woke up feeling ok, the swelling went down but now I felt like my neck was a bit stiff and I started to get this feeling on top of my head, like a finger just poking it all the time. The swelling went away but I got a cold sore and the pressure is constantly there and my neck is still a bit stiff. I am not sure if it's a sinus infection due to the constant pressure. I don't get headaches so it's hard to know. Does anyone got an opinion on what it might be?

Cheers

Hi and welcome to the board,
I've had a sinus infection before and I had the same symptoms you have described. My neck was hurting and I had a headache and the stopped up nose too. That "finger poking" is like a sharp pain? I've had it too.
You can get meds at the pharmacy that might help but if it doesn't get better you need to see your doctor.
Hope this helped!

Hi and welcome! Sounds to me like a sinus problem. It could be just allergies or it could be a sinus infection. I think I'd try an over-the-counter decongestant and give it a couple days. If you start running a fever or if you're not better soon, go check in with your doctor. Sinus problems are miserable! I hope you feel better quickly!
