President Obama's approval rating has remained steady despite the emergence of three wide-ranging and potentially devastating scandals, according a new poll out Sunday.
Just over 53% of Americans said they approve of the job Obama is doing, while 45% said they disapprove, a new CNN/ORC International survey showed. The numbers remain relatively unchanged since the last poll was taken, despite a rash of problems in Washington.

In April, a CNN/ORC International poll showed that Obama had an approval rating of 51%.
The survey, which was conducted on Friday and Saturday, comes amid three burgeoning government scandals. The White House has come under intense fire in recent weeks as news has emerged that the IRS targeted conservative groups for special scrutiny and the Justice Department seized the phone records of dozens of journalists at the Associated Press.
Both situations come on top of criticism the Obama administration has received over the past several months for its handling of last year's Sept. 11 attacks on the American mission in Benghazi.
