President Lincoln's proposed plan for reconstructing the Union?

A-- Lincoln's plan was called the 10% Plan. it would have readmitted the southern states back into the union very quickly. Lincoln wanted this because he argued that there never had been any confederacy, just a rebellion of a few leaders. No country in the south existed so in fact the south had never really left the Union. Congress rejected this plan and passed the wade Davis Bill which called for much tougher steps for the south to follow in order to be readmitted into the Union.
