help! I need to send a presentation to publishers for a major work to propose to be published. I need to speak clearly about the book, what I'm trying to do in it, etc. I wrote it out, but it all sounds academic and stuffy. I need it to feel more personal, but not sure. If I talk in my ordinary chatting voice, it sounds a bit childish, and if I talk academically and objective, it sounds boring. I need to sell my work to them, but don't want them to think I haven't got a soul. any advice on how to write, or how to get this to work?
