nineteenth-century society? Objectivity, accuracy, and thoroughness are key. Also, social Darwinism should be included.
This is a take home test and the last answer I need to finish. Please spare me from this hell that has taken hours away from life. =)

You should be aware that Darwin's "On the Origin of Species" (1859) was actually published something like 20 years after it was written because he feared a backlash from the powerful religious establishment in Britain at that time.

You may like to include something about "The Scopes Monkey Trial"
in Tennessee in 1925. (The "impact" carried through well into twentieth century U.S.A).

You should be able to find everything you need to know about this subject on the internet.

Go get 'em ! ... and good luck.
