I have an elementary education degree but I was offered a preschool position teaching 2 years old. Hey it's a foot in the door and I do love little children. However, I know that children of this age have a short attention span and can't focus on a lesson too long unless it's interactive. This can lead to bad behaviors, disruption..etc. I want good classroom management so more learning can take place. I know there's "Time Out" which they don't call it that nowadays. When I was teaching junior high, I would send a student outside, or in a back room, another teacher's room, detention slips, time away from recess...etc. Obviously those things won't work with 2 year olds. Any one have any suggestions for classroom discipline? It would really help me out alot!
